Avon Youth Community and Family Services Inc. offers a variey of school holiday programs and activities.

 

NORTHAM

The school holiday program comes out generally a couple of weeks before the school holidays. We have great activities planned, so make sure your registrations are in nice and early. Please be aware that there will be no 'on the day' registrations accepted. For more information please contact the Northam office. Keep up to date via our Northam Facebook page. Phone numbers listed to the right or on their dedicated pages under the Youth Services menu. *You must have a permission slip submitted to us at least 24 hours before the events so you can attend. Places for some activities are limited and will be filled on a first in first served basis. Late registrations will not be accepted. 

MERREDIN

The school holiday program comes out generally a couple of weeks before the school holidays. We have great activities planned, so make sure your registrations are in nice and early. MOORA

Supervision

In accordance with the law, all AYCFS staff hold current Working With Children Check card. All events are fully supervised and catered for. Please see more information under the activities section below.

Activities

Our holiday program provides school holiday activities for young people ages 12-17 years, who live work or study in the area the programs are taking place. AYCFS Inc. supports the concept of Access and Equity, however we ask parents and guardians to realistically assess your child's ability to participate in a basic access level activities. Specialised transport cannot be provided. 

Our holiday programs coincide with the school holidays to provide opportunities for school age children to engage and enjoy collaborative activities that promote unity, teamwork, holistic learning and community spirit.

School Holidays usually fall in the months of:

  • January
  • April
  • July
  • October

Check the school holiday calendar or the Department of Education term dates for confirmation. 

The holiday programs are run from the AYCFS Inc. drop in centres. There are no activities planned on any Public Holidays. 

Activities may vary and may include but are not limited to:

  • Ten pin bowling
  • Indoor activities
  • Water activities
  • Day trips
  • Sports

Activities are mainly free. Occasionally a nominal daily amount may be required to cover expenses, however this will be well advertised.

Bookings for all activities are essential and places fill up fast. To secure your childs place download the forms above for Northam or Merredin. Contact Moora directly  for their current activity permission forms and schedules.
